The Vitus 979 is a vintage 1980s frame set made famous by the Irish legend Sean Kelly. He spent virtually his whole career racing and winning on Vitus 979 frames, he loved the ride, lightweight and comfortable. The Vitus tubes are bonded together with aerospace adhesive providing a ride that is more shock absorbent than any other bike.

Features:
Bonding with adhesives is a technique widely used in aerospace and aeronautics for the following reasons :

• has no influence or effect on the properties of the alloys forming the joint, contrary to jointing by welding or brazing
• affords an even distribution of stress
• joints are sealed and protected
• degree of elasticity which reduces shock
• mechanical properties are excellent
• high degree of resistance to corrosion and to ageing

This bike is a rare silver colour, a lovely example.

It does have scratches / had a few bumps over the years, we prefer to leave it this way, it is all part of its history
